Medical science is conceptually the deepest as well as having the heaviest volume of memorisation. It not only builds on your knowledge from foundational biology and chemistry, but it also requires that you apply these concepts to a higher level. Many students view medical science as the most interesting of the foundation topics as it has clearer relevance to medical practice and disease pathogenesis.
This course will comprehensively cover the foundational concepts and content as expected for a first-year university student, including pertinent information from “out-of-scope” sources such as textbooks. The information we provide aligns closely with most pre-medical programs in NZ and Australia but rearranged and restructured to be easier to understand for high-school leavers.
