Population health is a very different type of topic and understanding a few key perspectives can set you up for success.
Population and public health is a topic that gets very little attention outside of a health degree, but it is a staggeringly important part of our healthcare system.
Not only is a strong understanding of public health expected of any medical professional, but the content in this course will be directly drawn upon for years.
💡 Population health is very different from most other topics you may be used to.
There are relatively fewer “facts” and relies much more on a firm understanding of a few key concepts and how they relate to each other.
You may even find that the pace of the course is a bit slow at times, with each video being on average a bit longer than our other courses. This is deliberate, as it is common for students to get suddenly lost when navigating these concepts too quickly, which we have found to have long-term detrimental effects on their learning.
